Because of increasingly stringent discharge standards, many existing wastewater treatment plants in China are facing the pressure to upgrade their plants in order to produce a higher quality effluent.

For many applications such as water reuse or the upgrading of existing WWTP’s from national standard Class II to Class I A/B or Class I B to Class I A, the Fluid Bed Sand Filter (a mature tertiary and reuse technology), is an excellent technical and economic choice. Combining filtration and N/P nutrients removal into one filter, the Fluid Bed Sand Filter can dramatically reduce both the cost and footprint of a tertiary water treatment plant.
